Pink Toes in the same Terrarium?

Okay so I have researched and researched and I just can't trust my own judgement so I figured many of you have experience with this. I currently have two pink toes one the most common and the other is Antillies pink toe, I think...it was just labeled pink toe but looks like my friends spider. Both specimens are juvinellies. I am not sure of their sexes I'm praying for females but I have no idea. My main question is would these two possibly be able to live together in my new tall set up I have done? It's a little over 10g and is a vertical terrarium. What are your experiences with it? Is it worth the risk or no? I will be shortly posting pictures of both the terriarum and specimens so I provide ample info for help. Please help me I'm so scared they will fight to the death.... :/

I wouldn't do it. They're cannibalistic after the 3rd instar or so, if i recall correctly. You'll end up with one very fat well fed Avic ;)

The third pic sling does look like the Avicularia versicolor - Antilles/Martinique Pink Toe. Not learned enough on my avics to tell what the first one is for sure.

Avics will kill each other if kept together. Ive researched keeping them together too and it just seems that many have tried and failed. Even the more tolerant communal species could kill each other, there is always a risk of cannibalism with colonies. There arnt many species that are tolerant of keeping communally though. If you want a communal setup you would be better off trying p.regalis, m.balfouri, h.incei or h.gigas, to name a few. I have 5 p.regalis in a communal set up, they have been with each other for about 4-5 weeks and everything seems ok, they dont seem to mind each other amd feed together well without fighting, but im always keepimg a close eye on them just in case.

I've decided to not put them together. Now I gotta get a new setup for the other haha. I'll post some pictures later so hopefully j can get some identification if at all possible. :D

You took the right decision. I'd say exactly like Johnnyp or Kormath. Even for Poecilotheria, the communal keeping is controversial.

I have one tank with 10 Poecilotheria sp bara (= sp subfusca lowland) since little slings more than one year ago. I can tell for sure that there's 5 left at least (confirmed), maybe more (but hidden), but I don't know. The key is to keep them together since slings, from the same sack, to give them only one hide (rather tight) otherwise they can make sorts of "clans" (and this could give a clash... of clans ;-)) and to change the enclosure the less than possible. I just took out a mature male yesterday... he was fine, but his sisters where not mature yet, then he was only a meal on 8 legs for them...

In your case, you would have had even more problems due to the fact that your two Avics are not from the same sack, were not kept together until now, and even are not the same sp.

It seems the best communals T are Monocentropus balfouri like Johnnyp said. They are amazing...!
