our fireleg blaze shed overnight & gave us our first intact molt. we had a go at sexing from a molt for the first time & we think he is male. there is no little flap. what do you think ? View attachment 1634

Yep, it's a boy! Looks good size too. He didn't mature with this molt?

We havent realy had a chance to look at him .his pedipals yet as he shed. Turned upright and went and sat in the watet bowl.will have a proper look at him in a few days.

First pic looks to be about 10cm (4in) legspan. Age of maturity varies greatly with many factors, as well as with each species.

we havent really had a good look at him since the shed. just left him to recover, till his first fed , this eve or tomorrow. the skin was about 10 cm long & he looks to have grown but cant tell how much yet.
