I opened the enclosure just now and saw this. It seemed fine earlier today. It was doing it's usual thing hiding out. Is it possible it's molting? I think I failed. :'(Death curl on its back???
very true. I have a spreadsheet for all the hundreds of spiders I have ever owned (about 900) and death rate is a steady 10% and this is for the spiders that have generally reached a decent size. Obviously that also includes Mature Males and old age, but the point is, yes it happens and a lot of the time, there seems to be no apparent reason. All I'd like to remind is, that even if it ends up being gone doesn't strictly mean that you have ****ed up or failed.
Several individuals are not meant to survive and that's just how the nature works - It sucks, yes, but blaming oneself is not an answer in the cases like this.
Obviously I hope for the best for you and the little fella, but whatever happens don't let it to discourage you.
I lost my Cyriocosmus elegans (DLS <1cm) after owning it only for 3 weeks or so. Everything seemed perfect until I just found it curled.

Yeah it's dead.
sorry buddy-its a real shame we have all been there and its tough-don't let it stop you getting more and continuing to enjoy the hobby...Yeah it's dead.
This is true...when I purchase or trade for slings I get at least 5 -10. Usually I'll lose 1or 2 of them for unknown reasons. All I'd like to remind is, that even if it ends up being gone doesn't strictly mean that you have ****ed up or failed.
