I've been keeping T's for about 7-8 months, slowly collecting them. I got a C. Marshalli around 3 months ago from a pet shop and had no issue with rehousing her. Within the first week of having her she completely remodeled her enclosure to her liking and was pretty much underground all the time with a few exceptions of waiting for food outside her hole. She ate regularly like all my other T's so I never thought anything of it because husbandry for this species says they like to burrow. Today I check on all my little friends and it wasn't her coming out this time...

So yeah. This is awesome. I have already ordered deli cups with lids from amazon and picked up a culture of fruit flies. I just don't know if I should get the mom out now or wait until they moult again? Do I need to separate the slings now or wait? I've seen some vids that look like the slings were farther along when they were separating them from the mother and slings... I would just like to be reassured. I was caught off guard today.

Congratulations :):):)
I've no experience breeding Ts but I'm sure someone will be along soon with good advice.

Thanks, I am excited. I just don't want to make an unnecessary mistake by doing something too early, or too late. This T wasn't sold to me as a female, but I kind of figured based on abdomen size.

Fruit flies are a waste of time and will drive you batty. just prekill small prey items for them. Separate them (Mom First) after they hit 2nd instar (next molt) You have quite a few healthy looking 1st instars.
If the ventilation holes you currently have are big enough for the little ones to escape put her enclosure in a bigger sealed tub or stretch a woman's pantyhose over the enclosure

Thats a very nice surprise. I never get eggsacs feom WC females ahaha. You lucky dog.

I agree with Sdsnybnybsdsbnysds Ditch the fruit flies and go for maggots or mini mealworms.

You will want to separate these on their next moult or they will start to cannibalise each other. The sooner they are individually potted the better tbh. I have had surprise sacs hatch and then found spiderlings all over my home ahah

Thanks for the input. I was wondering how the FFF would work out. I just grabbed the smallest thing they had at the shop. I have her in a kritter keeper, I was thinking about the holes last night after my post and already had put her setup inside a larger clear tub with a lid on it. Good call though! The mom has been busy she has continued to web everything more and more. There is 3 large clusters of babies like in my 2nd photo that has came out of the burrow now. I was expecting around 150 babies but I ordered 300 deli cups just incase lol.

That's crazy haha. Very cool. It was wild caught? So cool when they hatch with the mom just looks ancient like it's been the same process for 300million years or more. Especially a ceratogyrus they totally remind me of a dinosaur anyways they probably lived along side them.

I'm not envious of this situation at all. I joined this forum to help me get over some fears with spiders and this post didn't help anything lol

I'm really creeped out right now lol

I can understand how that sight would affect you, I too was an arachnophobe until 5 years ago but I can assure you that it gets better and soon you'll be saying "Aww, how cute"
