I just made a big leap into the hobby (for me) as I just ordered 3 new slings which will give me 5 total. I’m super excited about them all but I’m gonna need a little help as I’ve already gotten all of my help from you guys and you have all been awesome by the way!
Now pertaining to the three I ordered, they are all very different and I’ve looked a little into care sheets already and they are indeed very different lol. The first was the one I’ve been wanting for a long time and that is the Salmon pink bird eater (LP) and it will come as a 1” sling. I’ve already asked all of you about this one so no input needed.
The next one I got is the Poecilotheria Striata. I’ve always loved the look of the Poecilotheria species and it’s gonna be nice adding an arboreal Tarantula to the collection. This particular species was quite a bit cheaper than others but still looked beautiful to me. And their care seemed much easier than others. Please let me know more about this species and the care they need. I’m getting a 1.5” sling I believe.
The next one will come as a freebie courtesy of Fear Not Tarantulas and it is a Cameroon Red Baboon. This is the one I know least about but I do know it’s old world as opposed to new so their venom is probably more potent and they could have a more aggressive temperament. They also require high humidity from what I seen and they are known to burrow a lot. But please let me know more about this species including temperature, recommended substrate, how much moisture is enough and what’s too much. This one will arrive as a half inch sling.
