Hi guys,
I just purchased my first ever tarantula at 50,always wanted one so better late than never.
It's a juvenile Curly Hair about 2 inches long called Fluffy,I don't know if it is male or female.
Spent ages with the set up with plenty of substrate banked high at one end covered in lovely green frog moss over an arched piece of Cork wood set in at an angle, dug a nice tunnel ready. Fluffy has already been digging further and kicked up more soil now covering the entrance, you can actually see it from one of the sides at the bottom through the glass which is so cool.
Heat mat placed on the outside of glass keeping everything nice and warm.Got soom nice bits of Cork bark decorations in there and scattered some dried leaves around. Even got some small little resin skulls on order to place around on the ground.
Does anyone know a good place to get a nice stick on fact sheet with the name and some info on the species? I have seen some nice laminated ones on Etsy but all the best ones are in America and the postage is 16 pounds,I live in the uk so something similar from here would be ideal.
Will get some pics up soon.
