I've finally got one :D and yes, she's gorgeous. She arrived at 5.30am this morning having left Poland on Friday afternoon. I had intended leaving her in her deli until after I'd been to bed but when I opened the polystyrene box I found she was just in paper towel so I rehoused her straight away. She had other ideas and ran up my hand but all went smoothly thank goodness. She was supposed to be 3.5cm but her body is around that.

Meet Rio

And the new containers that were made to order.

My Orphnaecus sp Blue Panay, Taal, is going to have fun filling this with web. It's an 8" cube with hinged top opening as front opening would immediately be webbed shut.

And the 2 24"x12"x10" terrariums for my 2 LPs, Mole and Pip, which unfortunately seem to be missing their doors. I'm not sure if they are still on the couriers van or just not sent but I'm sure Jakub will sort it.

Now the wait begins for my next 2 new Ts from Poland, these are coming by post though so it could be this week or next before they arrive. I've ordered a Theraphosinae sp. Villa Tunari (Bolivien) and, one that I almost got as my first ever T until I fell for the OBT, a Pterinochilus lugardi.

I was remarkably calm although I was half asleep., as I said I had intended leaving her in whatever container she was in until I'd been to bed but she was just in paper towel. She half stepped off the paper into her new container but changed her mind and walked onto my hand but with a gentle nudge using the paper she went in quite happily. I'm not sure what I'd have done if she'd made a run for it though.

Tonight she has eaten a medium cricket.:D

Just heard back from Jakub, it looks as though one of his workers forgot to put the terrarium doors in them so he's going to post them. I do hope the Royal Mail don't smash them.

Indeed, I am sure she only wanted a cuddle though. When I was investigating the escape I found tiny silk trails across some of the tanks in the cabinet, across the curtains and window frame (good job they were closed) and then a trail to under my bed where she was eventually found. She must have knackered! Lol

Fingers crossed and that it doesn't take too long to get here.
Please PM me with outcome or any other courier orders you have planned and I will see if I need any Ts if you are still ok for that?

It's lucky she left that trail. She was probably glad to get back to her container for a rest.

I've just heard back from Jakub and he's going to courier the doors this week but I've asked him to tell the courier to leave them outside so I don't have to stay up for them. Yes, next time I order I'll let you know.

That's great, I'm glad you've got that sorted with him. You're getting some lovely Ts, I'm jealous.
