need help identifying

I bought this sling in april of this year..was supposed to be a b smithi. ..clearly its not..any ideas?

You're right: not a smithi. At this size, it'a hard to tell and can be some different species. According to the availability and sticking to the Brachypelma genus, I'd say it could be a Brachypelma vagans sling. But am really not sure...

Could be a lot of things, even an albopilosum..or not even a Brachy..the legs do have a certain vagans-esque look to them..

Thank you both for you input..i appreciate any help..vagans is the only other t it remotely looks like but it has a reddish head..not sure if young vagans have that coloring..its about 3 inches if that helps

I'd go with B. sabulosum, the vagans has the tan color at the edge of the carapace well before the 3" size.
