Got a new spider last month. Sorry, was busy with Mr.Dumplings' memorial service so i forgot lol. It's a 5" female Brazilian black & white (Nhandu coloratovillosus) and no, she's not racist.

I named her Nancy after a local politician whose familial dynasty reigns from a certain city that coincidentally rhymes with the word 'itchy' in my native language, which also happens to be the best word to describe this tarantula.

Upon arrival, stressed & cranky (March 28, 2014)

Their species like it dry but apparently she has an affinity with water hence the constant need to be clingy with her water dish.

Great pics! I have a curly that clings to it's waterbowl also! After every meal he "washes-up" and likes to use it as a poop bowl!!!

Yeah they so love doing that then stop if the water gets too dirty for them to touch

I'm not living anywhere near US or Europe but she costs around $55 / £30 worth if converted. They are quite rare to comeby here so it's worth it

P.S. besides her price is still cheap for me lol

She's quite a behaved little girl. But drop a prey item and she goes berserk! So far of all my Ts, she has the fastest reaction time

That's good that she calmed down I would be stressed as well if I was put in a deli cup in a box and being shipped XD hahahahha looks her friend is the water dish still? Ha so basically dinner for her don't last but a second XD

I actually discovered the reason why she hangs out by the water dish a lot. Quite an observation that I'd be sharing with you guys once i get all my words right lol
