I will be ordering a salmon pink bird eater tarantula sling very soon, its a tarantula that I have wanted for the longest as well as the Green Bottle Blue. I will be getting it as a .5 sling but im starting to get cold feet about it because I have never owned a tarantula that small the smallest that I started with was my 1.75 OBT which is now 4 inches. I just wanted to get some advice for a sling that small and also how often do these guys molt as slings/Juveniles?

LPs are fast growing and good eaters. If kept warm and fed heavily (both within reason) they can molt up to once a month for the first several molts. I've heard they can go from a spiderling your size to 6" in a year!
I got a sling smaller than .5" in March and with warm temps and power feeding I'm amazed at the growth rate. Here's a link to my LP growth thread:

Exactly what he said. I have mine in 2oz condiment cups right. And spray the cocofiber about every 3 days. Ive only been feeding twice a week.
This is by biggest one. But also have some that are only 1/4"

Yea, I did hear that they are very fast growing one question I do have left is what would be preferred to feed a sling that small? I was going to go with baby crickets

I go with the pin heads for tiny slings or just cut a big one in half and cut the heads off dubia nymphs to and occasionally get super worms and cut them into little bug patties for the slings to scavenge on

It's really up to the size of the prey compared to the T. Extra small crickets should work.
How big would you think 3/4 is? Is that 3rd star for a baby spider? Hmmmmmm I wonder if I should get one of these for my Mom for mother's day she wants a Tarantula XD

I am getting one on Wednesday, and is expected to be .5 but the breeder said it will most likely be around 3/4 if I could send I pic to you when I get it so you could get an Idea

When I got my LP slings smaller than dime I fed them large crickets crushed them first they sucked it dry they say feed them smaller crickets don't have to they can eat a full size cricket have to kill it first rip it apart to its easier for the sling to suck out the guts

I got my LP at 1/8inch. Just tiny. He was very quick for his size. It eats mealworms. Most of the time he gets half a mealworm, allways w crushed head or actually legs crushed. Very easy to care for, hardy animal. Keep it at 70f or better.

Nice. Do you have a thermometer to see the temps w the heater on near your spiders? You probably want that just to be sure. You can get a good digital therm on amazon pretty cheap.
