Hope this is the best place to post this. We were hiking in Southern Utah and ran into a couple different species. I'm just trying to get a correct identification for knowledge purposes. Online the identification pictures are kinda confusing and contradicts itself in places. I included my guesses but might be way wrong.

Saint George area. My guess would be A. chalcodes

Found in Zion National Park. My best guess would be A. Iodius

Yes its an A. iodius I live in Provo and I've seen them in the mountains around here... It's mating season for them :) There is also a lot of news going on about it too.

Thanks for the reply!

I take it that both are? I've seen the top one before, just never the one with tan legs. Is that a juvenile or female? I guess I'm confused what a A. chalcodes is. I've read it's around Southern Utah.

Hello Neighbor. I'm originally from Ogden but just moved to your neck of the woods in Eagle Mountain.
