So I guess the day where you lose a precious little T had to come for me too...
I'm heartbroken to see my P striata, little Petra gone. I don't know why, two days ago it was ok. :(
Sorry little beauty :(

I'm so sorry. It's always hard to lose one and worse when you don't understand why but sadly sometimes they are just not meant to be.:(

Thank you Enn. There are no words to describe my sadness.

I can imagine how you're feeling. Most of us have experienced that first unexplained loss. Most people say the best thing to do is buy more Ts to ease the pain.

Just tore up it's webbing and it seems it died after a molt. :(

In which case there is nothing you could have done.

Well, I'm gonna have your little jumping spider soon so that will ease the pain a bit.

Thus far I've lost one to escape (though it may have ben an inside job), one to becoming a MM, and one to a molt during shipment. I gotta figure the hardest ones are the ones that have no explanation and were fine the day before. I'm not looking forward to the day that its my turn.

Losing an eight legged investment is like getting hit by a truck (not that I know what that feels like, but I am sure it's painful), I feel your pain. I had to go through the same thing when my MM A. Metallica departed two months ago.

It definitely sucks and you keep blaming yourself even though you know you couldn't have done anything.

Oh thats right, you're the one that got four new pokies awhile back, I remember now. Have you looked at any Psalmopoeus? Theres a few newer ones. Well, one newer one. I'm a fan of campbridgei myself. I've never seen faster growing spiders..my three tiny slings are now 3" long, eat like Theraphosa, come out more than irminia and most pokies I've seen, and they look like little freakin commandos with those colors..plus from what ive seen, they dont poopy on the walls like avics..so far..
Bonus.
