So i know they are shorter lived but how long are the good for breeding.

Lets say a male once mature has a life span of 2 to 4 years.

How long after mature would he be able to get the job done breeding.

I know everyone wants a fresh male but would a year old mature male be good.

Male maturity is quite varied. I had a T. stirmi male that died 3 weeks after he "hooked out". I think arachnoclown talks about one of his NW males living for 6 years after maturity. Tell us your species and we can narrow it down a bit.

Avicularia mature males die rather shortly after maturing. Usually around 3-6 months unless you get a stubborn one. This goes for versicolors also.

I lost my Avc avic MM a few weeks ago, He stopped eating after he matured & then slowly faded away. It was only several weeks after a molt that we noticed that he had hooked out & looking at my molt diary. His last molt was October last year.
