I was wondering if anyone had any good ways to not only keep your t's warm but humid in winter. Its really dry and cold and im having frustration at my 3 slings and juvenile avic drying out so fast. I'm also trying to powerfeed them but thats not gonna work out if its 70 for 5 months in the house and dry as a desert. Any tips?

Always keep a water dish in their enclosures and use a dropper to drip a few water drops down one of the corners — make sure not to drip in area where sling could be burrowed! When you notice enclosure drying repeat the drops.

Hi
Not sure but think op has all avics. They dont burrow. Its very tricky with them as too much moisture could kill them.
I hoped someone more experienced would have commented @Casey K. @Phil @Arachnoclown as Avics are not my strenght
I imagine if you keep waterdishes full and maybe put them on deeper substrate that you keep partially moist they will be ok even if your room is dry.It just means will have to add water more frequently. For heating is best to heat the room as they need very good ventilation.About 20°C room temperature will be sufficient

I live in SoCal w no Temp Control right now. It gets as low as 68 in my room here late nite/early morn. Im using a beta fish jar from the pet store. Covered the lid hole w tape, put a half inch of coco fibre in it that i keep soaked. Water dropping every other day or so. I drilled the air holes just above the substrate line in 4 spots to guarantee circulation. Im gonna need a heat source soon. Im gonna need it to stay above 70 at nite. My sling is fine so far.

What type of heating do you use now? Heater? Central heat/air?

Amazon has many affordable space heaters with thermostats. Or I wonder if a cabinet could be built to hold the enclosures as well as a water tank with aquarium heaters on high?

I build a small styrofoam cabinet only open in the front with a heat mat attached in the back for my 3 slings enclosures for this winter. Im from Portugal but winter here is also cold. If you wand I can take pic and post.

I use a space heater in the winter. I place a second water dish in each enclosure when the space heater is on. I keep Temps at 72 in the winter. General rule, if you are comfortable, your T is comfortable.
