Hello, everyone. I’m back again. Few months ago I posted about my Brachypelma keeping climbing.I did apply some black cardboard on the background and sides.I added more substrate and introduced a new house, digged in the ground.
Yet she keeps climbing;last molt was in July.. she didn’t eat since then.

I have a B. smithi who was a climber as well. I got her from another hobbyist who kept her on potting soil substrate as she was constantly at the top of the glass. I changed the substrate to coco coir and she hasn't left the ground since.

Some T's are just finicky about floor coverings, I guess. My wife likes bare wood and I like carpet. I have a dog that refuses to walk on tile and a snake that freezes in place if you put her on artificial grass. Animals can be weird like that.

That's a big enclosure. Maybe try putting a small patch of a different substrate in one area and see if she starts spending time on it?

Your words give me a bit of relief . I can get very frustrated if I sense she is not doing ok.
I’ll follow your advice and let’s see how the “princess”feels about it.
Thank you very much!
