Ordered some red runners, hissers, and headlight (not headlamp). Are all their care the same (like most dubias) or is there advice I should know about these different types? Thanks for any help.

Have you already seen this:
https://tarantulaforum.com/threads/how-to-start-a-roach-colony.22389/

Lots of tips in there.

  • I suggest two bins for every colony, so you always have somewhere to move them or split the colony when the time comes.
  • Don't bother with gels or water sources. Use fruits and veggies for that.
  • No need to crush kibble. They can eat it just fine without you crushing it.
  • Use the clear bins because they are smoother. Most colored bins have some texture.
  • If you are using egg flats (12x12"), use containers that are at least 16" tall inside.
  • Hissers need vaseline around the top to keep them in.
  • No need for substrate with any of those.
  • Keep the colonies warmer for more production.
