That is one freshly molted H. Pulchripes!! I now have 2 males, undetermined Juvie, and my female Krysos! She is one of my few named spiders. Tried to breed her but all she did was hover over like she wanted to eat him. Shark tanked him in a catch cup with her! He never drummed or showed any signs of wanting to mate. He was terrified almost the entire hour while he was in. Totall stress pose. Can't say I blame him. She is hyper food responsive and I have no doubt she would have consumed him. One of the males literally just molted and got his emboli! Hope the other I care for turns out to be another female! These are a fantastic old world spood and just sooooo beautiful!! Love all my baboons though. Baboon slings all seem to be built like little tanks as well. Haven't lost many slings since going T crazed but not a one has been a Baboon baby. Funny when I started every one was a Baboon! A OBT, Monocentropus Balfori, and a King Baboon who I just recently lost. He was male. Took nearly 6 years for him to mature and was listed at 1.5" DLS when I got him. Miss him dearly. He became a sweat heart for a KB. Added pictures of my girl!

Wow!! So gorgeous! I’m really hoping for a female but we’ll see.
I’m sorry about your KB. I have 3 confirmed males. P. Mascara, D. Pentaloris and A. Metallica. They haven’t matured yet but I’m already dreading that day. You do get attached to them.

Hope you're H.Pulcripes becomes a glorious gal!! Hows your's temperament?? Only thing close to a threat pose from my female was when feeding a cricket. It launched out of the tongs and hit her in the carapace which provoked the response. It lasted 3 seconds then the offending cricket paid dearly! The smaller of the males ( matured first) is the complete antithesis! No other T I have kept has thrown so many threat poses! Any little thing sets him off! I had a Cyriopagopous von Wirthy that was wild caught and didn't threat pose like this guy. He was male as well. Little guy goes off so much I call him Mr. Automatic!! Lol. Happy Spoodering bro!

So far it’s not been too defensive. The only time I got a threat pose was when I first got it and I rehoused in a dram vial. As soon as it got in the vial, there it went. It hasn’t done it since and I open its enclosure it doesn’t seem to be scared. It’s like it knows I’m there to feed or water and that’s it. May change when it gets a bit bigger.
