My female Eratigena Atrica (Atilla) has died.
I dropped 3 crickets onto her web (yes, she will take down all 3 quite happily), all she did instead of coming straight out to get them, is just sat hunched up in her tunnel, she never does that so I knew something was up. The next day she was wandering around her web laying new silk as she does regularly so I thought nothing of the previous day. Come to check on her today and she is officially in death curl. I know she is definitely dead because she ALWAYS bolts whenever I open the lid and she didn't this time, neither did touching her web startle her.
Now I only have 4 spiders to care for. Tomorrow is feeder buying day and the feeder tub has just been through the dishwasher (grimy stinking crickets).
