Might turn out cool. Not sure yet.
Thx. Yea I'm gonna coat it then paint it, and see what happens. Working so far. I have enough foam for 3 more if it workslooks cool. I'd plaster it, or something similar, so it does't have the styrofoam texture, then paint it. Curious to see how it will turn out![]()
Any particular type? Have a couple half done I've been wondering about...You can use a grout mixture to coat it. Just add a color stain to grout when you mix it.
Great idea. I been trying to think what would work as a coating that would hold up to moisture. You can use a grout mixture to coat it. Just add a color stain to grout when you mix it.
Thanks Schoolman.Nothing fancy, just a basic grout or concrete patching compound. Be sure to allow it fully cure. Temp and humidity will determine cure time.
I have some fiberglass resin, hardener and cloth to make fiberglass. I wonder it it'll work with the polyfoam I used to make my wall. I just don't wanna use something that'll be thick, and lose the "canyons" and deep spaces I created in the foamNothing fancy, just a basic grout or concrete patching compound. Tried on a small scrap piece. I'm doing it. I'm gonna mix the resin and hardened, brush it on, and try sprinkling substrate on another scrap piece to see what that looks like. Then see if I'm gonna use just fiberglass, fiberglass and substrate or fiberglass then paint.Try it on a piece of scrap maybe? Can't be any more slick then glass or acrylic ^^
Let me know if it works please!
Can't wait to hear how it works out. Imagine the possibilities for hides and backgrounds!!
