My P striata, a male, is extremely laid back. The P regalis ones in his enclosure seem to act just like my P striata does.

My 2 newest ones are still sort on an open question. The new ones are a pair of P vittata slings one suspect of each sex. They each have extensive webbing with dirt curtains and I suspect that they will always use those. The female is much more visible.

Each of my pokies is housed individually just because it maximizes safety. With P vittatas especially, you can't order those over state lines anymore since the 30th of last month.

Breed those mfkrs. Just sayin.. Mark my words, eventually we'll start seeing these spiders become extinct. Except for one saving grace, our hobby..Its a foregone conclusion. Breed them. Its frustrating, tense, and exciting to finally see 500 baby tarantulas running around. Or more. If even 10 of your sac survive to be spread through the hobby, you did a very good thing. Just my own thoughts. Step up to the plate.

Ok, I'll give up the ending.

He reaches into a communal pokie enclosure with his bare hands and sticks his entire arm into it to clean it.

The enclosure he built for them puts anything I assembled to shame.

The thing is that if one flips out or and bites him, do the others join in like a bunch of Hell's Angels or do they just watch it go down? Are they friends or just roommates?

Still, that's not what happened.

My P striata is among the most trustworthy calm tarantulas I have with only those 4 B sabulosum slings being more chilled out. His P regalis Ts act the same exact way.

The 2 P vittata slings will get their first cage cleaning later this week. It'll be interesting to see if they are calm or crazy.
