Since getting this little one 2 months ago I've frequently noticed this black dot on its abdomen come and go. At first I thought it was its heart I was seeing but it's much too slow taking a full minute to disappear plus it's the wrong shape, in fact you can see the line of the heart from the pedicel to the dot. Has anyone else noticed this and if so what is it?

Black dot very evident

A minute later the dot has virtually disappeared.

@plessey Thanks, I didn't think of that. It's always on the move which would explain the change of angles.

I haven't had mine long enough to see a patch come and go, but it does look like both of mine have a similar, although smaller, little patch going on. I'm going to keep an eye on mine, as much as I can see them at all, and make note if the patch seems to come and go.

@VanessaS I've only had mine 2 months but it's a little older than yours, just over 1 year old. I'll be interested to see if yours does the same thing.
