• Cyriopagopus lividum “Cobalt Blue”. (old taxonomy: Haplopelma lividum). This medium-sized species is very popular with advanced hobbyists. They are stunningly beautiful, high strung, super aggressive and grow to about at 6” leg span. They are NOT for beginners or children and should not be directly handled. They are more for advanced hobbyists used to dealing with fast, agile and aggressive species. Keep warm and humid with a shallow, but wide water dish. They do well in a 5 gal. to 10 gal. type of enclosure that is more taller than wide with 8”-12” depth of slightly moist substrate as they are an obligate burrowing species. Provide a sloping substrate with a hide/cave in the middle of the slope. Since 2012, this species is rarely imported. Demand always remains high for this very beautiful species.
