Hello I have a 3-4 year old Chilian Rose hair tarantula that I've owned about 2 to 2.5 years. She got injured last Monday (I think she got scratched by my cat, the lid was open an inch and the spider was in the corner bleeding a bit and then was in the death curl for a day or two. All on Different post) but seemed to be on the mend. On Monday, 9/5, I woke up at 8 am to find her flipped over, so i was excited to see her molt (hasn't done it in 1.5 years to 2 years). Well I think the molt is going bad. She still is upside down and it's been 33 hours minimum (she flipped over sometime between 2 am and 8 am Monday). Worse is that now she has this big white spot on her lower abdomen. It almost looks like mold. I don't know what to do or if she is even still alive. I'm freaking out bad. This is the first tarantula I've owned and I'm lost. What do I do? What's the longest it can take a tarantula to molt? How do I know if she is dead? Help please.

No movement at all since she flipped over? Fluid sounds like their "blood". Nothing you can do but wait. If it hasn't moved at all by morning I'd say it's gone :(

The way her legs are curled id say that unfortunatly she may have died. They will usually lie on their backs with their legs spread out and bring them in and straighten them as they get further out of the molt. You could try to put it in an icu and hope for the best.
