Just took out the piece of cork bark I have in my mm b vagans to take out some bits of dead crickets from down the side. Went to put it back in and the daft bugger threw it's front legs up and gave me a threat pose so I put it IN and shut the enclosure. 10 mins later it's moved closer to it but still showing the bark how vicious it is. This tarantula is my most unstable.
Any body else have a stubborn vagan?

I have only had my vagan a couple of months and I bought it from a local pet shop that were keeping him so wrong I felt sorry for him and haggled them down to a tenner. He is normally pretty chilled and just sits and watchs what I'm doing. Must be a bad day for him

You`re lucky Sam Sam, I only ever get to see the Arse End of my Vagans. :D:p:T:
Mine is a show off. Out quite a lot. I try keep them almost in hunting mode so I can see them though. Had to use a coffee jar to rehouse her this time she is that big.

my B. vagans is a docile little guy. He's just over 1" now and any time you disturb his enclosure he's bolting into his burrow, but then comes back up to peek over the edge and see what's going on. Never had a threat pose from any of my Brachys, but i have seen them threat pose roaches, then bulldog them to the ground to eat them. That's usually on their first meal after a molt, it's like they forget in the week or so that it's a roach and it's food. ;)

Only the larger GBB and the A. chalcodes have shown me threat poses.
