The book lungs are quite close together which might indicate a male...and yet there seems to be a horizontal slit between them which is generally typical of a female! In short, I'm not sure! I thought my A. geniculata sling was female because she had a slit, but I was recently unable to find any epigynal fold in the molt, the book lungs look closely spaced, and the slit now looks more like a button. Plus the chelicerae don't seem quite as big. These signs all point to male.
Get a shot centered and focused on the area between the book lungs. I do not see the epiandrous arch in this shot but the angle is to high to see clearly.
Thanks for all the reply's. I will try for another pic. My curly is still a juvie, which might also be why it's difficult to distinguish. Aprox. 5-6cm's in total.
Was freshly molted How do yo tell when the fags are hardened?
They will darken to a black, also give it week before introducing prey. My big lp I leave for a month, after that I only feed her she's about 8-9inches.
