Asia - School Project

Hi everyone, my 9 year ols daughter has been set a project for half term. the brief is to make a model of something from Asia.
When my older daughter had the same project at 9 we made a siamese fighting fish out of clay (pic 1 below)
So for this project we are making a clay model of that Asian lovely that is the.........Cobalt Blue ☺
The other pic is the start of the project that I will update as progress is made.

Once dried and hardened. paint and then mount on card with some interesting facts......feel free to share some facts (in a style of a 9 year old.....lol)

I will be posting once she has finished painting. looking forward to seeing it myself. she made me a P. Metallica loom band as well. There is a pic on my albums and in the gallery. She is very arty. just like me. I used to draw pet portraits for a hobby.

If we can't take glory from our own creation (the daughter not the clay model) then we are doomed.....lol. She is very creative and the only one that really "gets" my hobby too ☺

I grew up a little scared of spiders, your daughter will boss any spider moments amongst her peers which is awesome! I remember shuddering at a huge 3" house spider when I was a kid (not really a kid 25yo) but I caught it and put it outside lol... Spiders are made out to be monsters but in fact are very beautiful and mysterious animals, your daughter is privelidged to never have any fear, you're a cool dad!

The thought did cross my mind sever al times...lol
I would have had to prop the legs up while the clay set and just seemed too much of a faff as well as it might give the game away that it maybe was not entirely done by a 9 year old.....

UPDATE
I am so thrilled. Had moved the Cobalt blue to a warm airing cupboard and the change in Temps must have prompted pre moult. Flipped on its back so new colours must be due soon.......lol

I would put this on the card: Known to go from 0-60 mph suddenly. Also part jumping spider.
Mine is a freakishly fast little demon during rehousing. Never once has she given me a threat pose, but she did bite the girl who sold her to me. She shrugged it off like a boss

Mine is sneaky, cleaning the water dish is a major event, ran up my tongs 3 times, been on my face, my back and disturbingly ran up the inside of my jeans lol! Cruella seems to calm down when I hold her though, she loves me! She has taken a massive crap up top, probably mocking me like most of the women in my life! I've not plucked up the courage to clean it yet lol!

She sounds awesome and full of character. can you include a pic buddy? I have 4 slings but no adult attitude.....yet

That's what the sponges with the 2 ft handles are for. And the large fountain drink lids can be used on the tongues like a guard
