I'm going out of town this 21sth of May to work for 3 days and I'm leaving my B.Smithi at home...

Guys, any advice before I left my smithi?...

Make sure it's water dish is full and it's in a secure place. Not able to be knocked around by a cat or something. Feed before you go

Ok I'll do that.. But I do have cats and that's another problem to be sold...

Hmmm.. Maybe I should anchor the Ttank..

You could consider putting the T on a closet shelf for the couple days you'll be gone. they don't mind the dark and quiet and better safe then sorry.

You can just put the enclosure in a bathroom, closet, anyplace the cat wont get to it. 3 days? You could put a large dish of fresh water, powerfeed the spider, and be gone for a month, no problemo.

Spider won't notice you're gone for 3 days. Don't worry about it. If you're worried about your cats, put the T in a closet where the cat can't get to.

I'll put my T in my closet but I'm a bit worried, the temperature here can go 34 up to 46 celcius so maybe it might get to hot in the closet and might toast my T...

I'm just a newbie like you...
But wait, what!? An OBT and a sun tiger!? Wow! I wish I could have those..

But so far, all I know's that they are aggressive and OBT spun web to its enclosure. About sun tigers, hmm.. Don't know much I've just seen them only in pictures...

Yes, they prefer the dark in fact.

Yep they like the dark, but you still need to allow some light for them to be aware of the night/day changes. All creatures need that for rest and feeding times.

I've kept a few OBTs and here's a tip; as the grow put them in larger than necessary enclosures and let them grow into them. You don't want to move those suckers anymore than you have to

I usually change the water bowl every other day, but if I needed to be away I would just fill it as usual and moisten the substrate around it a little. I only feed my B.Smithi once a week, so I bet your T wont even know that you are gone

Yup, everywhere in my house get so damn hot even at night, luckily it rain while I was away so my smithi is fine when I get back home and that's a big relief to me...
