These little beauties arrived at lunchtime today, all alive and kicking. They were dispatched on Monday from spidersworld.eu so not too long in the post.

Neostenotarsus sp Suriname, Aurora.

Brachypelma albopilosum Nicaragua, Nicarao. Such a tiny one. This was the only picture I managed to get as it dived straight under the cork bark.

Thrigmopoeus truculentus, Ratta.

Ceratogyrus meridionalis, Rift.

Ceratogyrus darlingii, Saan. My first horned baboon.

The good news is that all 5 are sitting chomping away.

The tiny True B. albo has even come out of hiding to grab tea.

They all seem to be settling well and most have begun the construction of their new homes, some more that others.:)

The Neostenotarsus sp Suriname, Aurora, is the only one that has done nothing.

Ceratogyrus meridionalis, Rift, has made a hole under the bark.

Ceratogyrus darlingii, Saan, has made a hole under the bark but also done quite a bit of webbing.

And the digging has begun in typical albo style. It may be tiny but the Brachypelma albopilosum Nicaragua, Nicarao, has been busy.

But the prize for hard work has to go to Thrigmopoeus truculentus, Ratta, who has constructed a web and substrate curtain most of the way up its deli as well as constructing quite a large burrow.
