Hi all, I bought my first tarantula (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens) as a subadult a few days ago and I was wanting to give it a larger and more terrestrial enclosure. I took a 6-inch deli cup and taped up the holes that were too big, then poked smaller ones in with a thumb tack. My main concern is soil, the best subrate I had on hand was a potting soil/coco fiber/peat moss mix so I sifted out the large bits, and I'm left with is a fine soil without any large wood or peat chunks, though there are a lot of small bits of moss left that worry me a bit. Is this a good substrate for burrowing? I have put pictures of my and the stores enclosures in a drive folder for anyone interested.

Also, any advice for transferring it? I have a catch cup and some tongs in case I need to nudge it, is there much else I can do? Thanks.
