Thanks so much for putting the time in to do this...I once tried to start a discussion about the nervous system of tarantulas on arachnoboards and was jeered at for trying to act superior...I didn't even go to college...anyway, I must have found a better forum :)

I'm not a fan of bite reports in general, due to the high drama I've encountered on other sites... but for learning purposes, here goes. I've been in the hobby a year or so, I have 26 T's and the only time I've been bitten was from a 1" A versi sling while I transferred it from it's shipping...
You will get many responses but the fact is we don't know, because it doesn't happen very often. The story about a German Shepard being killed by a tarantula sounds dubious, at best...I'll certainly be checking that shortly, and I'm hoping for a solid source of info on that topic, instead of...
Beautiful. I love the breed and have had two in my life who both lived to a ripe old age. Currently I have a miniature OBT. I mean EBT. Same difference. Anyways, thanks for the post, this breed is sadly misunderstood, due to human masters who shouldn't own a goldfish, much less an intelligent...
