I am new to owning a tarantula. I have a medium size pinktoe.
I bought some small crickets and I put one in the enclosure. Not long after I noticed it had the cricket in it's mouth.
About ten minutes later the cricket was gone and I couldn't see it in the enclosure.
My question, (I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere) is how long does it take for a T to eat it's prey? I assume it varies from spider to spider but I'm curious if the cricket was eaten or it escaped and hid?
Also, not sure on sex. If anyone is able to tell I'd love to know
