Feeding tarantulas earthworms

Provided that the earthworms are free of chemicals and pesticides, would it ok to feed your tarantulas earthworms?

Yes tarantulas love them. Whoever they make a slimy mess. Spiders don't mind it though.

@Arachnoclown Btw, I heard that hornworms (I know, not true worms) are not good for tarantulas as they may contain toxins within their body.

Sometimes hornworms are raised on tobacco which may be harmful to Ts.

Is this true?

If fed tomatoes or tobacco the toxins from the plants are passed on to the spider. You can purchase nontoxic hornworms online.

And I am surmising that hornworms sold in pet stores are farm raised and therefore free from tobacco and tomato toxins.

Other than that they probably aren't as nutritious as other feeder insects, but probably contain lots of fluids to keep a T hydrated.
