Curiousity on T Prices

I was reading another thread about the price of a P. regalis and I noticed that it had a high price. That made me think what would be the possible factors that would greatly affect the T prices?
Difficulty in breeding?
Rare species?
I know you guys come from different areas and the location greatly influences the price.

I checked on an online US seller due to curiosity to get comparative samples:
To name a few:

N. Tripepi 6in female
US online $195
Local $56

H. Colombia 1.5cm
US online $55
Local $18

B. Smithi 1.5cm
US online $29
Local $9

Don't misconstrue the purpose of this. I just thought about the possible reasons about the T trade and on the hobby.

Prices are controlled by supply and demand, availability, breeding ease/difficulty sac sizes, novelty....
