    Angela's Ts

Well, here are some photos of my little collection! I have two A. versicolors. I have raised them from 0.5". Their names are Arachne and Anansi. This is Arachne. This is an A. minatrix. I have had this one from 0.5" also. This one's name is Trixie. A nervous spider, has fits of panic from time...

A new Avic and 2 new bundles of trouble.

Great news!! My PZB sling hunted down its first cricket this week. Caught it, drug it down into its cave, and then did the "happy dance." This is my first terrestrial sling, so it's fun to see it develop! Angela

A new Avic and 2 new bundles of trouble.

Hi Enn! Delighted to see that your baby Avic is doing well. Mine were about that size when I first got them. Just as another food option, I started my Avics all on flightless fruit flies. They seemed to climb up to where the baby was in the enclosure better than pinheads, and I didn't worry...

Chubbs, I love how they even flare out their tarsal claws in their display! Great picture! Angela

A new Avic and 2 new bundles of trouble.

Hi Enn, I was thinking about your Avic today, happy that it is settling in. Has it eaten yet? My versis and minatrix are absolutely greedy!! Angela

A new Avic and 2 new bundles of trouble.

Congrats on your new babies. I thought your Avic photos looked a few legs short. My versis and minatrix grew pretty quickly as slings, so it probably won't be long before the legs are back. I'm sure you will enjoy watching your Avic grow up!

    Ts and thunderstorms?

Hi, Everyone! Last night there was a big thunderstorm over my house. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but my Ts seemed especially active! Have you noticed any correlation between weather and T activity? Angela

    web question?

Just fed everyone and performed some spot cleaning in my versi enclosures. One of them has closed off the entrances to her web. She must have read this post! We'll see if a molt occurs in the future...

First T and loving her ...

Congratulations! My latest acquisition was a PZB sling. So looking forward to seeing it grow up into adult coloration! Nice to know that as they get bigger they are confident in their surroundings. As a baby mine digs like crazy, but is super curious. So I think I can see the beginnings of an...

    web question?

Hi Leigha, One of my versis will stay in its web tube and only venture out late at night. Sometimes the only reason I know it's been out and about is I find new poop splatters on the glass! Angela

just got 2 Avicularia versicolor slings

Congratulations on your new babies! I have two versis and an A. Minatrix. All three I have raised up from 0.5 inch slings. I started mine in the arboreal sling enclosures from jamiestarantulas. The humidity issue is a tough one to get a handle on. I lost one minatrix because the enclosure got...

Getting my first T today .. help?

Welcome Kerry! My most recent acquisition was a PZB sling! She is so cute! Busy all the time digging huge tunnels and caverns. This was my first terrestrial T, as the rest of my collection are arboreals. Enjoy your new pet, they are so fun to watch! BTW, Miska is a cute name. I named my sling...

    Non stop Travel.

Hi! I found your pictures on the photo thread. Your Rosie is very pretty. From those photos it's hard to tell if she is a mature male or not. To help troubleshooting your worries with her activity, can you get a photo of her in her enclosure? From reading other threads, if you can post such a...

Take to the Vet or no?

I would definitely take your kitten to the vet. Cats can go into shock very easily from allergic reactions. You just never know.
