What do you recommend for buying a tarantula?

I was wondering what you guys would recommend for buying a tarantula. I was going to go to a local petsmart but was wondering if that was the best option. Then I went online to look for them and I found some but don’t know if the websites are reliable. If you have a website or something that you would recommend that would be great.

Plenty of sellers here in the For Sale section, some are more established than others. Look for established accounts - those folks usually don't steal your money and hang around.

Reputable sites I've bought from online include:
Jamie's Tarantulas
PNW Arachnids
03 Arachnids
Micro Wilderness

There are others equally reputable sites that I have not bought from, like:
Fear Not Tarantulas
Pinchers and Pokies
Palp Friction
The Spider Room (new name escapes me)

If you can find a local seller and save shipping fees, that usually equals another T you can afford.

Them there are the many many options out there.
Do you know what species you want to buy first?

I’d reach out to @Casey K. and @octanejunkie. Send them a private message and discuss what you are looking for and what your budget is, they might have an hidden but affordable gem somewhere and it never hurt to ask
