i have a little GBB sling i’m setting up a new enclosure for. i know they need a dry enclosure, but is a little water dish still a good idea? i have a few small ink caps i could use.

All tarantulas need water. If your container is large enough a milk bottle top works well but if there isn't enough room then trickle a small amount of water down the side every 2-3 days

I have people give me their water bottle caps (like a Dasani or Fiji) for my smaller enclosures. I see my C. cyaneopubescens use its water dish all the time. More than any of the other tarantulas I have. Any bottle with a plastic cap gets eyed by me for potential as a water dish.

As an aside, I hate bottled water as a concept but ended up buying a bottle of Fiji water for the express purpose of using the bottle for rehousing tarantulas. It is a square bottle, so it fits nicely into the corners of square enclosures. I used to think Tom Moran just randomly used the Simply Lime bottle he has in a lot of his videos. Nope! Square bottles are useful! Plus owning exotics will sometimes make you do some weird stuff.
