Taco anyone?

I'm thinking pretty hard about getting a Toyota Tacoma, offroad. I know that numerous members here like to go exploring, so, what are everyone's thoughts on the Tacoma's? Do you have one? Do you like it? Anything to watch for?

I have a 4runner that I wheel. Yodas are indestructible, I say go for it!

I wanted the trd pro, but I cant justify the 1500$ per shock when they need replacement. But if I read correctly the offroad has the same ground clearance. I'm excited to go to look at one early March

Lots of folks opt not for the KDSS package just upgrade to Kings. If you're only casually wheeling you may not mind a factory replacement shock. I'm running tundra billies and barely taxing them.

not a thread related thing, but in reference to the bottom pic, you should really consider traveling to Haspen acres in Indiana if you are a fan of rock crawlers and mudding.

now back on topic: while I don’t drive at all due to visual disability (about to look into changing that very soon), but I do like the Tacoma, the only thing Is I hear that because it is from a foreign maker, fixing it up is more expensive.

How tall are all of you that have driven Tacoma's? I'm 6'4" . And I've sat in them for test drives fine enough. Just wondering about long term comfort? Road trips and such

Quick update, order has been "accepted " just waiting for it to be built, and shipped to the dealer

Finally got her! Now the customization begins. Added a crossbed tool box. Some other minor stuff. Looking at speakers and a sub now. Not sure how I'll do it yet

Got everything done! Tool box, undercoating, stereo upgrade, and made my own bed stiffeners for it. Got about a 1,000 miles on it and love it. Thanks to all for the solid advice
