SOS HELP: LOST T

Hi,

I am so sad to be making this post. I went out of town and asked my 17 yr old cousin to house sit. I currently have 1 cat named Duck (as named in the screenshots attached). The HS originally tried to say she noticed the tank open in my room. However I know for a fact it was never left open by me, and even if it slightly was my Mexican Red Knee is too lazy to run being 10 yr old in the same home.

When I got home my house was clearly a disaster from a party, and my T’s tank had clearly been tampered with, but seemed almost like items were strategically placed back in the tank by a person. I cannot get the HS to admit someone MUST have done something and she claims to know barely anything. I believe my female T of 10 yrs was dropped and killed. If the cat did it, there would be pieces to be found as she was large.

ANY IDEAS i can try to attempt to find her. I stayed up all night and tore my house and main T room apart. Any places they have been found before? Anything to attract them? I was thinking of setting crickets loose in the room and a sponge bowl of water

PLEASE HELP I am so embarrassed and angry w my family and the lies

The cat could have gotten in the tank, killed the T, and your family member disposed the body maybe?

You mention a party, would it be possible the guests picked it up the T, dropped her and then disposed of the body?

There's also the scenario where it still could be in your house. Just keep looking, although it seems you did a lot already.

Try to bribe an answer out of your family member with money, it may work. You need to know the truth!

I think she had a party due to the way my house looked. I would think that if the cat got to the T, there would be evidence of legs etc. I don’t see my cousin being able to clean it because of her fear of my T.

Leaving the same theory that some a-hole at her party (which I didn’t say she could have) killed it and they disposed of it? I may try to bribe, I’m so angry but trying to remain composed to get the truth

YEAH! Glad you have her back.

A similar thing happened to me, only it was some rare Scotch worth about $1,400 a bottle that was liberated from its sealed enclosure rather than a T. In my case there was no way to recover what was lost (although I do think a little of it ended up on a bathroom floor - wouldn't want that back anyway). At least I knew it wasn't the cat.
