If a "pink toe" and avicularia avicularia, then they are arboreal (tree dwellers) and rarely touch the ground. That set up looks more for a terrestrial species. you need more height rather then length for avicularia sp. plus cork and plants to anchor too.My pink toe isn't touching the ground, I out in new substrate a few months ago, and he touches it but then runs away really fast. What's going on?? View attachment 50895
Ok thanks for the info, his tank is about 3 feet tall so I thought that was good. And I'm saving up for cork bark and stuff. If a "pink toe" and avicularia avicularia, then they are arboreal (tree dwellers) and rarely touch the ground. Please confirm species or share a picture of the spider as I cant see it in the photo (unless I have missed it)
That's a very big tank for that species. I keep my adult avics in 8inch(w) x8inch(d) x 12inch(h). They don't like too much space and could also lead to not being able to find prey.Ok thanks for the info, his tank is about 3 feet tall so I thought that was good.
