Have read contradictory information about whether fruit flies are nutritious enough as sole feeding option for slings.
Any advice would be welcome and appreciated

Probably not a good choice for the general hobbiest. I use them to feed extremely tiny slings once or twice before they are ready for sale. Theres not really enough nourishment in them without adding dust. Your better off prekilling a larger prey item and feeding them that way honestly.

Hi Shaun
You can get easily micro crickets in UK to feed your tiniest slings.Once the slings reach 1cm they will take 2nd moult crickets or eat prekilled ones of that size depending how shy is the sling as some will not eat live for some weird reason.
I am currently keeping various slings including super tiny dwarf species like Cyriocosmus and they all feed well on those.Use the brown variety as the black ones grow faster and will outgrow your spiders pretty fast.

Thanks, i have looked for really small crickets, with no luck.
I bought some brown crickets classed as number 1, but still looked a bit big for the slings.
Will have another search

Hi
I usually get my crickets from Pets at home near me.
If they don't normally stock the micro size I ask them if possible to get me some in with next delivery and they do.
I also order them from livefoodsdirect.co.uk too

The only place I have found micro crickets in the UK is the spider shop > https://www.thespidershop.co.uk/micro-silent-crickets-p-1388.html#.YEuSoVX7TIU

However I now use bean weevils as you just leave them with the beans and after a few months they regenerate > https://www.thespidershop.co.uk/bean-weevil-culture-p-1682.html#.YEuS4lX7TIU

Didn't think to ask pets at home.
Cheers
