Terrestrial enclosures should have more ground surface than climbing room and at least three inches of substrate (more is better up to about 6 maybe 7 inches). This is different if it is a burrowing species which will need at least 10 inches of substrate. A terrestrial enclosure should also have some where for the tarantula to hide. Good hides can be half flower pots or cork bark tubes. All enclosures should have some kind of water dish. Slings or spiderlings are different and need a much smaller enclosure (search spiderling or slin care).
