My wife and I are looking to start our first communal and are wondering what the best T would be? We have read that the H. Gigas is communal in the wild but not sure where to start.

Hi
Monocentropus balfouri is the species you want. A lot of evidence that not only they tolerate each other without predation but actually thrive when kept communally in captivity. I dont think they do so in the wild tho.Tom Moran has a great videos on his communal on YouTube

completely agree. M Balfouri by far the best choice for communal living. The webbing they produce is also very interesting and prolific and looks really good in any enclosure, but better on ones with blue LEDs that simulate moonlight (IMHO anyway)
