Black crickets supposed to chirp?

I bought some black crickets from a store here in the north (UK) and they haven't chirped once in the 3 hours I've had them at home

Aren't black crickets supposed to chirp?

I thought it was only the "silent brown crickets" that were silent?

Rookie question... but I was kinda looking forward to listening to them

Ahh, that explains it. They are juvies / sub-adults.

You can tell I have a lot to learn.

Snakes and gators, I have loads of experience. Inverts, not much at all.

You could charge for your advice.... I will keep you on speed dial LOL

I think it is more an appellation than a term defining your gender, the same way we can use "guys" to call a bunch of friends regardless of men or women. Weirdly I also think you knew this but just want us guessing/intrigued....but as much as a girl who "'love to get laid too.." could be interesting, what really would turn most people on here would be nudes, of your tarantulas!
