    Icenoglei prefer shaded oak riparian woodland with abundant leaf litter. These are quite distinct with a fine golden integument on the cephalothorax, and a rich dark mahogany color.

    Euctenizidae are the new-world equivalent to Idiopidae, and both are sibling families that diverged from a common ancestor. These settle in very fast. This particular species likes to use a small leaf as a door, several were found exhibiting this behavior.
