Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (GBB) Male or Female ?

The sex organs are between the book lungs, correct ? Maybe in my pic above the molt got twisted when I was trying to stretch it back out and look at it under the microscope. I really need to get a GOOD MOLT and try this so I can figure out exactly what I am doing/what to look for.

Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (GBB) Male or Female ?

So next time I look at a molt, I should put the molt facing down ? Like the tarantula is sitting there normally, instead of on its back ?

Nhandu Tripepii Sling had lunch and is now hiding

Why did OP post this thread ? Here is the title : "Nhandu Tripepii Sling had lunch and is now hiding" Here is OP's concern : walked around a bit, then went into the hide, spun a few lines in front of the opening, and I have not seen it again. I know they are known to be skittish as slings...

Nhandu Tripepii Sling had lunch and is now hiding

What are the PROS of using oversized enclosures for slings (Because you listed 0 above) ? Here are a coupe of the CONS of using oversized enclosures for slings 1. You never see them 2. They rarely eat 3. They grow extremely slow 4. You cannot observe them daily

Nhandu Tripepii Sling had lunch and is now hiding

There is nothing but CONS to oversized sling enclosures. A condiment cup IS the slings hide, they utilize the entire cup as their hide.

Nhandu Tripepii Sling had lunch and is now hiding

I would recommend a condiment cup, this is what I have mine in. Pictured on the left. Everything you are describing are cons of using an oversized enclosure for small slings.

Can you post a pic of your enclosure ? And how big is your sling ?

    Is this possible?

All normal for a GBB after molting

    Zoomed reptisoil

$12 for a little bag of that stuff ? No thank you, I will stick to the $2 huge bag of standard dirt/topsoil.

    GBB sling advice

I kept all 4 of my GBB slings bone dry with a water dish and damping the corner of the water dish every once in a while.

    Getting a Tarantula?

Grammostola Actaeon are quite the T's. I grabbed one without even knowing anything about them and this T has been one of the funnest for me to feed. It is a beast and goes absolutely crazy trying to catch a cricket.

Striped knee tarantula starting to dig

A Semmani's are fossorial I think (correct me if I am wrong). Mine has dug to the very bottom of every enclosure its been in and creates elaborate tunnels from one end to the other.

What would you consider an adult size?

I have one about the same size and it has molted once since Dec. 2019.
