Does anyone know about snake eating disorders?

Hey everyone! It's certainly been a very long time since I posted. So I've had my gray banded kingsnake since about May 2019 and she's about 6 years old now. My garter snake who I had for 5 years and ate mainly nightcrawlers regrettably passed away a few months ago and Cinder, the gbks, is...

My tarantula seems to be getting weaker.

Fantastic! Thanks Arachnoclown! That's definitely a relief! I'm so glad he's not sick and that he should sill be around for a while yet! I'm also very happy he's going to molt soon! His reaction time was delayed but he took both a cricket and a superworm within the past week so that's a great...

My tarantula seems to be getting weaker.

Thanks Wolfspider! I'll continue to keep an eye on him and update you guys if there's any changes.

My tarantula seems to be getting weaker.

Oh yeah he has plenty of easy water so it very well might be due to age. I don't take him out very often and I think when I took him out for the pictures it was the first time in months. I wish I could get him a mate but I don't want to risk a female killing him. I sure hope he sticks around for...

My tarantula seems to be getting weaker.

Hi guys! I have a short concern I'd like to get everybody's opinion on. My male Mexican red knee, "Habanero", may or may not be having some problems. Normally he happily climbs around all over his habitat with no trouble at all and can easily scale the glass. However, for at least the past two...

Two quick questions for anybody with ball pythons?

Thanks Oursapoil! Oh yeah I wouldn't have a whole bunch unless I had a big house in the countryside and more time to clean! That does sound like it would be pretty awful smell wise! Unfortunately I live in Wisconsin and winters here are not kind to us. I's hard enough to keep my other terrarium...

Two quick questions for anybody with ball pythons?

Yeah he was born in 2020 and is still pretty small so that's sounds like a good sign for being more eager to try new food presented differently!

Two quick questions for anybody with ball pythons?

That doesn't sound too bad as far as lifespan is concerned. Sounds only a few years longer than a well cared for bearded dragon. The snake I'm looking at was born last year and is only 80 grams so with some persistence it should work out since he's young.

Two quick questions for anybody with ball pythons?

Hi there! I have wanted a ball python practically forever. I know I'm definitely getting one (or several) someday but right now there is a gorgeous one like nothing I've ever seen before on a great website called morphmarket. He's a deep amber yellow with a light tan head and small black spots...

You think fish would like hornworms?

Oh man that IS a dirty trick! I'll be staying away from those! The Yum-Dinger looks like a really good one! The pictures that popped up on google showed some pretty good sized fish! I'll think I'll get a couple of those now!

You think fish would like hornworms?

That would be awesome I admit and I would love to see it in action...........thing is any moth over about an inch actually freaks me out. Ever since I was a kid. I know that's ridiculous when I have three venomous tarantulas and want to get a scorpion eventually and I'll handle just about...

You think fish would like hornworms?

Yeah I definitely release 98% of what I catch so I sure as heck wouldn't want to risk harming them. That's good to know! I had no idea wild hornworms had toxins. The domestic ones sure do sound promising though so if I ever see a good deal on them at at expo maybe I'll save a few! And I know...

You think fish would like hornworms?

On occasion I like to get hornworms for my terrarium animals. I wish I could more often but in my experience they can get somewhat pricey. I think they're fantastic, especially when you can get a tub of them and let them grow. They're definitely my bearded dragons' favorite treat but pretty much...

Beautiful new tarantula! What can I expect from a tropical species?

Thanks timc! Of my cousin's three tarantulas this one was definitely my favorite so I'm glad to be able to take him in for her! The humidity doesn't sound hard at all and I think just trying to keep the substrate a little damp is a great idea! He's usually on the ground instead of the grass and...
