I splurged and spent $100 on a L. polycuspulatus but I had a rare surplus of money, it was a species I'd never heard of (let alone seen), and it was probably about 1.5".....so I don't feel bad about it.
In the future, if I'm gonna spend over $50-$60, it will have to be one of my bucket list...
My chalcodes is a straight up roach-killing machine. Otherwise, she's pretty chill and will retreat to her hide if I take the lid off of her enclosure. But toss a dubia in there and she turns into a monster.
No, I just was really fascinated by r/Tulpas. I actually did try creating one but what I began creating had some inadvertent issues so I simply stopped working on it and let it fade away. But I'll have to check that out once I get it together to focus on non-fiction.

For the same reason I'm still alive in NY despite having a suppressed immune system - it's part of the plan. I don't pretend to understand the plan, I don't pretend it's even necessarily a GOOD plan. But it's the only reason I can come up with.
My first two slings went into pre-moult within about two weeks of arriving. (late February/very early March).
The T. albo sling finally molted last night (huzzah!) and the B. hamorii looks like it's going to moult any second now.
But 4 out of 5 of my slings sealed off their burrows within days...
