Cellar spider Pholcus phalangioides is what it looks like to me.
Daddy long legs! Love these lil guys, have one in my kitchen that catches mosquitos, he been in there for months lol
@Casey K. Got that knowledge! Didn't know that! Got a wrinkle in brainActually, (well I'm from Texas) what we call "daddy long legs" there looks like a spider but isn't a spider. It's an arachnid that eats other spiders but isn't classified as a spider like the one pictured above. It's more burnt orange in color and has long scraggly legs. If I find a pic I will post it! I suppose some folks call cellar spiders "daddy long legs" because they have similarities in size and their legs are long, too.
Allegedly they are extremely venomous, although they don't possess the fangs/mandibles to bite humans rendering them harmless even to children
Ik the harmless part is true but I'd need citations on the venom
@Casey K. You should seriously have your own YouTube channelFrom what I read, they don't have venom glands. Therefore, they can't produce venom. I did read something about them possibly being able to secrete poison (defense mechanism towards predators) but I don't think the theory has been tested.
