Matthaus
I study Culinary Arts at the International Hotel School. A 1 year course which i truly enjoy! I started my T.Handling on the 18th of October 2015 and i'm certain i don't regret it and I'm already planning on etting more as soon as I start my official job to ensure that I will give them the best possible care they need.
My first T is Morticia Aragog the 1st... She is a Lasiodora Parahybana (Brazilian Salmon Pink Bird Eater) out of the 865 different kinds of T species out there, she is the the 3rd largest Specimen of Ts, she is of the New World Species. I only found all of this out after she was bought for me for my birthday, she is extremely docile, she doesn't scare easily, she is more than relaxed for me to put my hand in the tank in case i need to sort out her tank.
I have experienced the infamous urticating hairs 3 times. what i can say is they don't hurt me, they just make the area she kicked the hairs on to (my hands) itch for about 2 days. I now use gloves (non-powdered) when i handle her, which isn't often as she shows signs of stress after I do so (i know this shouldn't be funny and i do take it seriously but my girlfriend and I call it 'sulking' because she would cover up her face for about an hour before she opens up again).
If i have put up incorrect information or i could add information, i will trust anyone on here to point it out,
But this is a start to something great and I'm excited to be apart of this forum. And i will be for a long time.
