Unless I'm mistaken, Mexico doesn't allow export. That, and the fact that these spiders are restricted to a cave system probably means you might never see them in the hobby. That's my guess anyway, but I'm certainly no expert.

We have spiny orb weavers in Alabama. Maybe not that exact species, or subspecies, but I see them in the woods all the time. Most of the ones I recall are black and white.

The P. regalis molted recently and has been out and about.

I haven't done one of these over here, so I thought I'd start a photo thread. I had the camera out for a few minutes to capture my freshly molted G. pulchra. I've had her almost a year now, and she's grown to 3+ inches.

I wouldn't say I'm WAITING for any. I'd say I'm financially unable to achieve all of my dreams at this time. I don't really even know which species is tops on my want list right now. Maybe a P. metallica.
